REGISTERED NURSE - CARDIAC CATH LAB - 40 HOURS WEEKLY - DAY SHIFTย 

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Full-Time Benefit Eligible

Schedule: Day Shift, Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Rotating on call, weekends and holidays required. On-call requirements including at least one weekday per week and every 4th-5th weekend. On call requirements for 2 holidays per year. ย Finish the day requirements at least once per week which means completing all scheduled cases for the day.

Unit Description:ย 

Henry Ford St John Hospital's Cardiac Cath Lab is 4-Lab department that conducts approximately 15-18 procedures per day.ย  Our patient population is strictly adults (18 years and older), both inpatient and outpatient, that are admitted via our inpatient units, observation unit, or directly via the Emergency Department. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM; we do require rotating on-call after hours, weekends and holidays.

We are a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, Interventional Radiation Technologists, and Unit Support.ย  Our unit fosters a growth mindset through annual and on-going education.ย  If you are a Registered Nurse with at least one year of prior critical care experience, we want to meet you!

  • Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.ย 
  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.ย 
  • Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.ย 
  • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:ย 

  • BSN preferred.ย 
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.ย 
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.ย 
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.ย 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.ย 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:ย 

  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.ย 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:ย 

  • Prior Critical Care nursing experience.
