REGISTERED NURSE - ACUTE REHAB DEPARTMENT - 36 HOURS WEEKLY - DAY SHIFT
Full Time Benefit Eligible
Shift: Nights, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Rotating every other weekend
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Unit Description:
Henry Ford St John Hospital's Inpatient Rehab department is a 36-bed unit specializing in the rehabilitation of trauma and stroke patients with varying degrees of medical complexities. Our nurses have an average patio ratio of 5:1, and the support of a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Registered Nurses, Patient Care Techs, and Rehab Techs. We have the great privilege of caring for patients throughout their stay (typically 5-10 days) and witnessing varying degrees of remarkable healing as a result of our work. Come join our team!
  • Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
  • Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
  • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • BSN preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • One year or more of prior nursing experience preferred.
