Job Description
An experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week day-shift contract. The Level II Labor & Delivery unit cares for patients at 32 weeks gestation and above.
The RN will provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care throughout labor, delivery, and recovery. The position requires strong L&D clinical skills, including patient triage, cesarean section circulation, and collaborative management of labor and delivery with physicians and midwives.
Responsibilities
Perform assessment and triage of Labor & Delivery patients.
Monitor patients throughout the labor process.
Manage labor and delivery collaboratively with physicians and midwives.
Circulate cesarean section procedures.
Provide patient care following vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Complete maternal and newborn recovery following delivery.
Monitor maternal and fetal status and communicate changes appropriately.
Administer medications and treatments within RN scope of practice.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Follow infection control, patient safety, and departmental policies.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Requirements
Current, active RN license required.
Minimum 4 years of experience required.
Labor & Delivery experience required.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
NRP certification required.
EPIC experience preferred.
Previous travel experience preferred.
5+ years of experience preferred.
Candidate Eligibility
Must hold an active RN license.
Minimum 4 years of experience required.
Must have the required BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility.
Candidates should have strong Labor & Delivery experience, including triage and cesarean section circulation.
