Job description

Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking for a part-time 3rd shift Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse!

Summary:

Administration of nursing measures; supervision, evaluation and planning of care; and communication with residents, family, and other members of the health care team to meet the total needs of the residents

Essential Duties:

  • Assists in resident assessment and implementation of appropriate interventions
  • Assists in planning of care to attain and/or maintain the highest possible level of health, independence, and mobility of the resident
  • Delivers resident medications timely and accurately
  • Communicates with physician and other health care providers to facilitate the overall health care of the resident
  • Encourages and maintains an open communication with resident and families
  • Assists with orientation of new personnel
  • Records progress notes regularly to assure continuity of care and provide up-to-date information for physicians, consultants, nursing staff, and other health care providers
  • Provides resident and family education where needed to enhance cooperation and undertaking of the care plan
  • Participates in continuing education within and outside the facility to improve nursing skills and keep abreast of nursing developments
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Must hold an active Illinois Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
  • Shifts are typically 11:00pm-7:30amtwoweekdays as well as every other weekend and a holiday rotation.

Physical Demands:

Walking and standing most of the day is required. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, reaching. Occasionally required to sit, use hands/fingers. Routinely required to push/pull/lift and/or move up to 75lbs. Some exposure to potentially hazardous equipment, chemicals and infectious waste.
