Job Overview
The Utility Person plays a key role in supporting production by safely and efficiently operating manufacturing equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. This position offers cross-training opportunities, allowing employees to develop skills across multiple machines and areas within the facility.
A Day In The Life

Join our team on 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:30am) and play a vital role in producing high-quality bushing products in a dynamic, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Under direct supervision, you will support a variety of hands-on production tasks, including:

  • Assembling POC and PRC bushings
  • Coating PRC studs
  • Winding cores and cutting foils
  • Cleaning, inspecting, and packaging finished bushing products
  • Assisting with the assembly and preparation of additional bushing components

This role offers the opportunity to develop a broad skill set by working across multiple production processes while contributing to the overall success of the operation.

In addition, you'll help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment, ensuring quality and operational standards are consistently met. (Note: POC & PRC process operation is not required for this position.)

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, job safety analyses (JSAs), and technical drawings with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic measurement skills, including reading and using a standard ruler or tape measure
  • Ability to interpret machine gauges and equipment display readings to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and strong initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while staying productive and focused
  • Fork truck certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks for at least 8 hours
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (floor to waist and waist to floor)
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs and carry short distances (approximately 4 feet at a height of 4 feet)
  • Ability to safely work on elevated platforms, as needed
  • Comfortable walking, climbing stairs and ramps, and moving throughout the facility
  • Must have full use of both hands, along with the ability to see, hear, and perform job functions safely
