Summary:

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating domestic and international transportation activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods. This role works closely with carriers, freight forwarders, distribution centers, and customs brokers to manage shipments, resolve transportation issues, support import/export processes, and drive continuous improvements in service, efficiency, and supply chain performance.

Schedule:

Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm - will require flexibility based on business needs

Regular and predictable attendance

Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage all inventory-related transactions and data integrity within SAP systems.
  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies, including cycle counts, adjustments, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain system accuracy for inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movements.
  • Develop, document, and enforce SAP inventory processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Partner with IT and ERP teams to ensure system functionality, enhancements, and integration across platforms.
  • Support data warehousing, reporting tools, and data architecture related to inventory management.
  • Audit SAP transactions, inventory records, and financial data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Generate reports and dashboards on inventory levels, accuracy, trends, and KPIs.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for systemic inventory issues.
  • Train and support operations teams on SAP usage, inventory processes, and best practices.

Logistics & Transportation Coordination

  • Track inbound and outbound shipments and ensure accurate, real-time updates within SAP and related systems.
  • Communicate and resolve shipment issues impacting delivery performance.

Compliance, Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Analyze logistics and inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve business processes across inventory, SAP systems, and logistics operations.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and performance metrics related to inventory accuracy, costs, and service levels.

Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000
