Job description

Job Description: SpineOne is excited to expand our Medical Billing Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, patient-oriented professional to join our team at our corporate location.

Full Cycle Billing Specialist requirements include full revenue cycle duties using provider coded data to produce and submit a clean claim and/or assist with said submission, verify contractual payment is received and/or appealing a denial, answering patient phone calls and reviewing patient statements, working A/R, assisting with special projects.Using Provider coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies
Review coding for accuracy per insurance requirements
Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get claims processed and paid
Reviewing and appeal unpaid and denied claims
Working Unpostables, and denials 48 hours from receipt.
Communicate denial trends to management.
Answering phone calls with patients’ billing questions.
Ensure the patient’s medical information and billing is accurate and up to date.
Payment posting of insurance EOB's
Research insurance refund requests/recoupments to ensure accuracy
Notate all account activity and upload insurance correspondence
Manage accounts receivable and review A/R tracking spreadsheet weekly to ensure insurance A/R does not exceed 180 days
Things that should be in your background:Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Preferred or minimum of 2 years coding experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in insurance collections, medical full cycle billing, and appeals
Knowledge of insurance policies
Strong Organization Skills
Attention to detail
Effective time management
Professional, courteous, helpful and cooperative
Ability to display a caring and responsive attitude
Desire to make a positive impact on the patient experience
