What will you be doing in this role?

The Environmental Service Linen Delivery Technician is responsible for storing, tracking, issuing, distributing, collecting and delivering uniforms and linens for beds, patients, and tables across the organization and support locations for patients and ancillary services. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collects, separates, and tracks number of items of clean linen and uniforms then distributes throughout the medical center and to other service and ancillary facilities. Examines laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability before distribution.
  • Stores laundered items on shelves adhering to pre-established adequate supply level and records items distributed
  • Tracks and assembles laundered items on cart or linen truck, records amount of linens and uniforms to fill requisitions and transports carts to patient floors. 
  • Conducts inventories to identify items for replacement, replenishment of supply. Maintains linen room in clean and orderly condition.
  • Distributes clean linens and collect soiled linens throughout campus and support locations.
  • Supplies clean and collect soiled scrubs / coats from scrubEx unit and program units.
  • Drives and maintains the safe operation of the linen distribution vehicle to and from support locations
  • Communicates with customers, makes contact on a routine basis and works closely with lead and supervisor to improve customer service. Responds to request in timely manner.

Work Experience:

  • One (1) year of Linen or Housekeeping/EVS/Cleaning experience in a hospital, school or hotel setting preferred.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
