Position Title: Molding Operator

Department: Molding

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-hour shift


General Summary: As an Injection Mold Press Operator at DECKED, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of injection molding machines and the successful assembly of components to meet our high-quality standards. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to teamwork will be essential in ensuring that our products maintain their superior quality and durability.


Essential Job Functions:

Perform assembly tasks, combining molded components and other parts to create finished products.

Utilize hand tools, fixtures, and equipment to assemble parts accurately and efficiently.

Conduct visual and functional checks of assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.

Identify and report any defects or deviations from specifications during the assembly process.

Quality Assurance:

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines to ensure consistent product quality.

Conduct inspections of finished products to verify that they meet DECKED's specifications and standards.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.

Safety and Cleanliness:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Keep work area clean and organized to optimize efficiency and safety.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and meet customer demands.

Communicate effectively to report any issues or updates during the production process.

Assist and support colleagues in different areas as needed.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in injection molding machine operation and assembly is preferred.

Basic understanding of injection molding processes and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.

Proficient in using hand tools and small power tools for assembly tasks.

Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet production targets.

Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward process improvement.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
