Job description

Every year the Los Angeles Rams bring together millions of fans across the country and around the world as we play for the chance to be named the best team in the NFL. But the Rams are about much more than just football. We are about the legacy of fandom that brings together generations of families year after year and the excitement of sport and live events - an experience that cannot be replicated. We are about our city of Los Angeles and ensuring we embody and represent the diversity and uniqueness of this city. As an organization we strive to make our city better by connecting people through sport, both on and off the field.
The Rams are looking for a Video Editor responsible for editing video content for the Rams digital and social platforms as well as for external broadcast partners. In this role, you'll craft original, thoughtful, and engaging stories that grow the brand and connect fans to the Rams organization. Additionally, you should have a keen eye for how to expand storytelling opportunities through social-first amplification. The ideal candidate is a post-production specialist at heart, with a deep knowledge of current video editing trends and platform-native formats. You'll collaborate with a team of in-house producers and cinematographers to deliver content that engages fans and brings them closer to the people that make the Rams one of the top organizations in the NFL. The role will be expected to illuminate and elevate the Rams brand.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work in collaboration with other members of the Rams Studios team to develop and produce a slate of video content for the Rams.
  • Tailor edits for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, etc., optimizing for performance and fan engagement while keeping the Rams' voice at the forefront.
  • Edit video content from home and away games, community appearances, player shoots, press conferences, community events, and a variety of other projects.
  • Shape narrative and emotional impact through editing choices, ensuring every piece connects and resonates.
  • Have a strong passion and experience in post-production with the ability to craft both long episodic series and short-form content.
  • Stay ahead of evolving editing styles, cultural trends, and platform best practices to keep Rams Studios at the cutting edge.
  • Expected to be available on game days in an editing and post-production capacity.
  • Willingness to be a team player to fulfill different project roles as needed in order to operate efficiently as a team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to provide creative ideas to support various campaign briefs.
  • Job duties may require travel.
  • Listen to organizational needs, pitch new concepts to internal groups and external partners to meet those needs.
  • Contribute to logging Rams footage using specific formatting and strong attention to detail in Adobe Premiere.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in video editing required (5+ years).
  • Experience working in Adobe Premiere Productions workflow or similar non-linear editing software team projects.
  • Proficient in editing footage from professional cinema cameras including ARRI, Canon, Sony, and RED Cinema cameras.
  • Proficient in color grading, experience color grading in Davinci Resolve is a plus.
  • Experience in multi-cam editing.
  • Strong understanding of narrative structure, pacing, music selection, and sound design.
  • Strong experience creating high-energy, hype-driven edits for in-stadium game presentation and social platforms.
  • Flexible schedule required to successfully complete job requirements, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness related to sensitive football-related material.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Creative mind, storytelling skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be proactive and think creatively. Bring a willingness to go above and beyond to finish the job under deadline pressure.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects.
  • Collaborate and communicate as part of a team.
  • Previous experience working in professional sports leagues is a plus.
  • Knowledge and a passion for the NFL is ideal.
  • Transportation to and from work/events at all hours and times of the week. The Rams require 4 days in office per week (Monday - Thursday).

Candidates without a work submission and a demo reel will not be considered.
Salary: $75,000/yr. - $80,000/yr.
