Pay Rate Low: 24 | Pay Rate High: 30
Maintenance Technician - Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA
Contract Length: 6 months with potential extension
Shift: 3rd Shift | 12-hour shifts | 6:30 PM-7:30 AM
Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday, alternating Wednesdays
Pay: $25/hr -$35/hr + 15% night shift differential (based on experience)
Our client, a global leader in biotechnology drug substance development and manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support GMP manufacturing operations at their Thousand Oaks facility.
This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment. You will support critical production systems, perform preventative maintenance, and help ensure equipment reliability and compliance within a cGMP facility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process equipment
  • Support maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment including pumps, valves, seals, motors, and related systems
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, testing, and operational support
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with cGMP standards
  • Support inspection readiness by ensuring equipment and documentation meet regulatory expectations
  • Utilize CMMS systems to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and external vendors on equipment repairs and improvements

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; technical training preferred
  • Experience maintaining equipment in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with pumps, valves, motors, lubrication systems, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and P&IDs
  • Familiarity with cGMP practices and preventative maintenance programs
  • Basic computer and CMMS experience

Preferred Experience:
  • Filling, freeze-drying (lyophilization), or packaging equipment experience
  • Biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment experience
  • Experience supporting FDA-regulated production environments
