Position Summary
Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Analyst / Risk Manager to support quality assurance and compliance initiatives across assigned group homes, day programs, and supported living arrangements in the Dumfries and Woodbridge, VA areas.
This role works collaboratively with operational teams to ensure compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and the One Beacon philosophy. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in IDD facilities, group homes, or residential behavioral health settings and possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • *Developmental Disabilities in residential, day program, or direct support settings.*
  • *Prior experience in compliance, quality assurance, incident management/investigation.*

Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Support One Beacon initiatives and quality improvement efforts
  • Conduct scheduled in-person visits to assigned group homes and day programs
  • Perform unannounced evening home visits
  • Assess, monitor, and document program performance
  • Assist staff with remediation plans and corrective actions for identified risks or subpar performance
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of assigned locations
  • Provide incident management support, including monitoring corrective actions and closing incidents
  • Collaborate with leadership to address performance deviations and improve service quality

Risk Manager Responsibilities
  • Serve as the agency's Risk Manager in accordance with DBHDS regulations and company standards
  • Identify, monitor, and reduce operational and clinical risks
  • Review assessment and reassessment processes to mitigate participant-specific risks
  • Conduct annual systemic risk assessments
  • Review and update the company Risk Management Plan annually
  • Monitor staffing adequacy and staff competency
  • Establish and monitor quality control standards through QA audits and Quality Improvement Plans
  • Conduct investigations, root cause analyses, and trend analysis
  • Review incident reports and ensure timely follow-up and reporting
  • Conduct follow-up investigations and develop corrective action plans under leadership supervision

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in:
  • IDD facilities
  • Group homes
  • Day programs
  • Supported living environments
  • Direct Support Professional (DSP) roles
