Job Description
The purpose of the day electrician's position is to perform repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance, testing, and process improvements on all mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems. The electrician must rely on their knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in order to troubleshoot malfunctions to equipment and systems and to repair and restore operation. The associate in this position will be expected to work overtime as needed and to fill in for absences on shift as needed.
Qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
• Advanced experience using power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools.
• Experience in performing advanced preventive maintenance procedures.
• The ability to work with others in identifying and solving complex manufacturing problems.
• The ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Advanced knowledge of electrical, architectural, and mechanical diagrams, drawings, and specifications
• Advanced knowledge of procedures to test for, locate, and repair electrical malfunctions
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, electrical (incl power supplies, motor drives, & transformers), electronic ( incl. programmable and numeral controls), and pneumatic equipment and systems
• Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles

• Advanced knowledge of production processes.
• 2 years experience as an electrician in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Associate's degree in electronics or related field
• Experience in maintaining compliance with local and national electrical code.
