Job description

Position Summary:
The Data Entry Specialist II will support the customer service department by managing all manifests & profiles received. The position assists with the daily paperwork flow to maintain facility in compliance with regulatory agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Complete receiving drum tickets for billing.
  • Check daily paperwork for discrepancies.
  • Call customers for discrepency reconcilation.
  • Hazardous manifest data entry
  • Mail out (manifests), unfolding, etc as needed
  • File general receiving and shipping documents.
  • Ensures all necessary manifest copies are mailed within the alotted time (30 days) of receipt.
  • Monitors the completion and mailing of all attached certificates of treatment/recycling.
  • Assist customers/co-workers with general work duties i.e. data entry of profiles, manifests, paperwork requests, etc.

Other Functions:
  • Assists coworkers with general work duties, i.e: data entry of profiles, manifests, paperwork requests, etc.
  • Covers for the receptionist's duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) .
  • 1 year of experience in an office setting.
  • Proficient in using Excel and Word.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
