Job description

Job title: Mechanical Engineer
Duration: 6 month plus Contract
Location: San Antonio, TX
Experience: 0–2+ years 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support mechanical design, piping, installation, and operation of process/pilot plant systems.
  • Design piping per ASME B31.3 and prepare drawings, engineering documentation, and BOMs.
  • Perform mechanical and thermodynamic calculations and specify instrumentation/components.
  • Create/update P&IDs and support mechanical/electrical system integration.
  • Coordinate with fabrication teams and verify installations against drawings/specifications.
  • Provide hands-on support for process system construction, modification, and troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering required; 0–2+ years experience suitable for entry-level candidates.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, Excel, Microsoft Office; Visio/ANSYS and FEA/thermal simulation preferred.
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with engineering, fabrication, and operations teams.
  • Support 24/7 facility operations as needed; day shift generally 8 AM–5 PM, with overtime/shift work possible. 50-lb lifting, outdoor/plant work, MVR, safety-sensitive requirements.
