Material Wrld, a venture-funded fashion-technology startup is seeking a senior software engineer experienced in Python web development to join as a key early addition to a small and nimble team.

The entire Material Wrld team understands how critical technology is to all aspects of the business and is serious about building an in-house engineering team second to none.

Skills and Requirements
  • Experience building complex, but well architected, maintainable and testable web applications using Python and Django
  • Experience with using an RDBMS as a primary data store while utilizing integrity constraints and transactions. (Ex: InnoDB MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Capable of working with third party APIs in safe and failure tolerant ways.
  • Experience with background queues such as Celery.
  • Capable of working in a modern continuous integration development environment. Proficiency in modern version control practices is a must. We use github internally.
