Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will partner with product teams to design, build, and support the infrastructure, tooling, and services that enable high-quality, reliable software delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, paired-programming environment, takes initiative, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges in cloud-native ecosystems.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with time split between onsite and remote work. Candidates should be comfortable completing a technical assessment as part of the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance platform engineering solutions primarily using Go (Golang).
  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable applications and services within AWS and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to understand requirements and deliver infrastructure, automation, and platform capabilities that improve quality, reliability, and developer productivity.
  • Participate in paired programming, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
  • Implement observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting solutions utilizing tools such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, and/or Grafana.
  • Support platform reliability, performance optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple requests and projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong programming experience in Golang.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies, including:
    • AWS
    • Kubernetes/EKS
    • Terraform
    • OpenTelemetry
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting distributed applications and services.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and system reliability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Datadog and/or Grafana.
  • Exposure to additional programming languages such as Java, Rust, or Python.
  • Experience supporting platform engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or cloud infrastructure teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and developer enablement tools.
