Salary Schedule


This is a non-benefitted position. Up to 29 hours per week.

GROUP LEADER – Hourly Position

The group leader is responsible for the supervision of students in the OCPS Extended Day
Enrichment Program. The group leader’s hours may be flexibly scheduled to accommodate
program needs.

Qualifications
The group leader needs to have the following qualifications: ability to direct students in
academic enrichment and recreational activities; enthusiasm and stamina; ability to maintain
control of the group; interest in a variety of subjects; ability to communicate with students and
adults; ability to make each student feel important; ability to take direction from the site
coordinator; and willingness to pursue further education.

Responsibilities
Group Supervision
Plans, prepares and implements developmentally appropriate activities for students.
Determines supplies and equipment required and advises the site coordinator.
Establishes warm, friendly, yet objective, relationships with his/her group.
Maintains work areas in a neat, clean manner conducive to constructive play.
Communicates with the site coordinator, parents and other staff members.
Helps to maintain positive relationships with school personnel.
Assists in serving nutritious snacks.
Records and updates daily group attendance.
Reports to the site coordinator any significant problems or unusual behavior.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
