Position: Extended Day Staff

Reports to: Extended Day Coordinator

Position Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: M-F from approx. 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

Summary:

Foothill Country Day School is currently seeking an Extended Day Staff member to supervise and engage with students during the Schools Extended Day program. The successful candidate will demonstrate patience, creativity, and a passion to connect and interact with children.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet children and families in a warm and friendly manner
  • Provide a warm and safe environment where children are supervised and monitored at all times
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing daily activities
  • Set up environment (indoor/outdoor) for activities and clean and organize environment before dismissal
  • Use developmentally appropriate practices to engage in activities with students
  • Assist students with homework
  • Model professional and ethical behavior when interacting with students, parents, and peers
  • Model and uphold professionalism and ethical standards

The ideal candidate will have the following educational and work background:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working in an after-school program or similar capacity
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification (School will pay for certifications)

Salary:
