Job description

About FUCIS

Futures Unlimited Community Integration Services (FUCIS) is a community-based day program serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) under the Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center. Our mission is to support the people we serve in building meaningful skills, independence, and connection within their communities. We're a close-knit, mission-driven team that takes pride in doing this work with heart.
Position Summary

We're looking for a hands-on, dependable Program Supervisor to lead our day-to-day field operations. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives when no two days look the same. You'll be out in the community, coordinating staff and client schedules, ensuring compliance at our service sites, and making sound judgment calls in real time. The right person brings strong organizational instincts, genuine compassion for individuals with IDD, and the flexibility to adapt as the day unfolds.
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff scheduling and coverage across community sites
  • Manage and review timesheets for accuracy and timely submission
  • Coordinate and maintain client (participant) schedules
  • Conduct site performance and compliance visits in the field
  • Complete staff performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
  • Review and approve time-off requests
  • Schedule and monitor staff breaks and meal breaks in line with labor requirements
  • Respond to last-minute changes and make sound, independent judgment calls in the field
  • Serve as a communication link between direct support staff and leadership
Qualifications & Skills

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with the IDD population
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure
  • Ability to stay calm and decisive during busy, fast-changing days in the field
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to working with individuals with IDD
  • Flexibility and adaptability — comfortable with a role where every day is different
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to drive between sites throughout the day
Why Join FUCIS

You'll be part of a supportive, family-oriented team doing work that genuinely changes lives. We value initiative, compassion, and people who lead by example.
FUCIS is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and the individuals we serve.
