Vesta, Inc. is a financially sound, not-for-profit mental health organization Maryland, providing comprehensive behavioral healthcare. We're currently seeking a passionate individual to join our Southern Region's Forestville Residential Program.
As a Residential Counselor, you'll play a vital role in assisting individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness. Your responsibilities will include coordinating client care and daily activities, such as meal preparation, household chores, grooming, and medication monitoring. You'll provide essential oversight in our residential homes, working closely with senior clients who have various diagnoses and behavior disorders, alongside somatic care needs.
Position Details:
  • Hours: Fulltime - Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm
  • Location: Forestville, MD

Qualifications:
  • Ability to drive a 15-passenger van and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Experience using eHR for daily notes
  • Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of experience in mental health preferred
  • Experience providing skills training in residential or day program settings
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $20.56/hour - $23.02/hour, paid bi-weekly, with opportunities for overtime. Salary calculated based on education and experience.
Other Compensation: Employees are eligible for bonuses (variable, depending on company and individual performance) and paid training.
PTO: New employees can accrue up to 96 hours of PTO in the first year (pro-rated based on start date and hours worked). Employees can accrue up to 40 hours of sick leave per calendar year (pro-rated based on start date and hours worked).
Holidays: Full-Time employees receive 8 paid holidays per year, with overtime if required to work. Part-Time employees are eligible for overtime if required to work on holidays.
Retirement: 403(b) plan participation available at hire. Employer matching after 1000 hours of service. Discretionary employer contributions are given at least once a year.
Health Benefits: Full and Part-Time Employees are eligible for benefits beginning the first day of the month after hire. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision (single and family), flex-spending accounts (FSA and Dependent Care).
Company-Paid Benefits: Full-Time employees are eligible for Long-Term Disability and Basic Life/AD&D. All employees are eligible for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Other Voluntary Benefits: Full-Time employees are eligible for Short-Term Disability coverage.
