This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, working with customers, and having variety in their day.
You won't be sitting at a desk doing the same thing every day. One day might involve repairing games in our shop, another may involve servicing equipment at a route location, preparing and delivering a new pinball machine to a customer's home, or helping make sure the showroom is ready for customers.
What You'll Do- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pinball machines, arcade games, and related amusement equipment
- Perform repairs both in our Wood Dale facility and at customer and route locations
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems
- Diagnose issues involving wiring, switches, power supplies, displays, monitors, controls, computers, circuit boards, motors, coils, and other components
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections
- Set up, test, clean, and prepare new and used equipment for customers

- Keep showroom games clean, operational, and ready for customer demonstrations
- Help maintain an organized inventory of parts, tools, and service supplies
- Assist with warehouse organization and equipment movement
- Document repairs, parts used, and equipment issues
- Identify needed replacement parts and communicate parts requirements
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and service equipment organized and properly maintained
- Work closely with management and other team members to prioritize service calls, deliveries, installations, and shop work
- Take ownership of assigned work and follow repairs through to completion
Experience with pinball or arcade equipment is strongly preferred, but we are also interested in candidates with related technical backgrounds.
Relevant experience may include:

- Has strong mechanical aptitude
- Is comfortable working with electrical and electronic components
- Understands basic wiring and electrical troubleshooting

- Works carefully and takes pride in repairing things correctly
- Is dependable and shows up when expected
- Can work independently while also being part of a team
- Is organized with tools, parts, and work areas
- Can follow a problem through instead of simply replacing parts until something works

- Communicates professionally and respectfully
- Is willing to learn new equipment and technologies
- Is comfortable working both in our shop/showroom and in the field
- Is physically capable of helping safely move and install large amusement equipment

You do not need to be a salesperson, but you should be comfortable talking with customers and helping provide a great experience.
ExperiencePrevious professional experience repairing arcade, amusement, pinball, gaming, vending, electronics, or other electromechanical equipment is preferred.
However, we are willing to consider someone with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude who has the right attitude and demonstrated troubleshooting ability.

- 401(k)
- Paid time off
- Additional employee benefits
Midwest Gaming gives technicians the opportunity to work on equipment that is a lot more interesting than the average service job.
You'll work on pinball machines, arcade games, and other amusement equipment from a variety of manufacturers and generations. You'll learn new equipment, solve different problems, work both in the shop and in the field, and see the results of your work firsthand.
We're a hands-on business where capable, dependable people are trusted with responsibility and have the opportunity to grow.
- If you enjoy fixing things, solving problems, working with your hands, and want to build your career around arcade, pinball, and amusement equipment, we'd like to hear from you.
