Job Summary


The Inventory Technician for the Deerfield location is responsible for assessing, coding, documenting, and storing of all products to be used in any Curion test, including Central Location Tests (CLTs), Home Use Tests (HUTs), and Focus Groups. The Inventory Technician works directly with the Facility Leadership Team (Facility Director, Testing Operations Manager, Test Supervisors, Warehouse Manager) as well as procurement technicians and project managers to discuss, collaborate, and communicate about all test products. The Inventory Technician will also lead preparation of Home Use Test (HUT) project materials, to include necessary package and/or product labeling, to ensure successful setup of HUT placement fielding.



Responsibilities Include:

  • Unpack, assess, and process incoming product shipments from clients, offsite vendors, or other Curion facilities
  • Assess, review, and process products procured locally by Curion procurement technician
  • Perform product inspection to ensure quality and accuracy, confirming product received vs product expected
  • Take package photos & upload to i:drive for PM review, following Curion Product Photo SOP guidelines
  • Label and store products, working closely with the facility team to document storage location within facility
  • Complete inventory sheet (including all columns and relevant details), and notify PM in Asana that document is complete
  • Add UPC codes to RedJade testing program
  • Communicate in Asana with PMs and procurement techs, sharing updates, collaborating on product arrival status, and sharing concerns or feedback to proactively address potential roadblocks
  • Be proactive by reviewing Curion calendar and following tracking information to anticipate deliveries
  • Track cold storage space use in the facility and communicate potential space issues early to the facility team
  • Manage HUT prep by preparing packing materials and coding/blinding products, as required
  • Work closely with Facility Director, Testing Operations Manager, Test Supervisors, Procurement Techs, and PMs to manage inventory deadlines as stated in the Curion Inventory SOP
  • Other field tech/kitchen tasks as assigned by the Facility Leadership Team

Job Qualifications:

  • Clear and professional verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, meeting necessary deadlines
  • Flexibility to adjust to last minute changes in schedule and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Strict attention to client confidentiality
  • Ability to analyze, understand, and/or calculate varying product serving amounts or package sizes
  • ServSafe certification required by the end of the first 30 days of employment


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, lift, kneel, or walk for most of the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to enter details into spreadsheets with accuracy
  • Ability to operate a camera and upload images to a computer


For Curion Inventory Field Technician positions located in Deerfield, we offer a starting pay rate range of $17.00-$18.00 based on the qualifications and experience of each individual. This is a part-time position, deemed non-exempt for overtime purposes, and, therefore, is subject to overtime compensation. Curion offers a benefits package for this position which includes a Curion 401(k) Retirement Account and Illinois Paid Sick Leave.
