Job description

Beloit Health System is looking to add Per Diem Radiology Technologists to our Team!

  • Shift: 1st, 2nd & 3rd available
  • Schedule:  Varied 
  • Hours per week: Varied - Per Diem
  • Benefits Status: Not Eligible
  • Department: Radiology

Beloit Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiology Technologists to join our Diagnostic Imaging team on a Per Diem basis. The Radiology Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing questions or concerns.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
  • Review images for quality and completeness before submission for interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
  • Adhere to radiation safety principles, including ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Assist with quality assurance activities and departmental improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.
  • Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation. as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
  • CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
  • Self-motivated and able to be flexible.
  • Ability to problem-solve and function independently.
  • Knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, patient-centered environment.
  • Must adhere to established to regulatory agencies, Beloit Health System, and department policies, rules and regulations.
  • Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Medical Imaging. Clinical advisement is received from the Radiologists
