Job description

Clinical System Support Analyst (CSSA) needed for Valley View's IT department.

Previous healthcare experience preferred, strong aptitude for technology!

General Objectives:

Leads the support and documentation of functional clinical requirements within IT application systems. Drives collaboration across IT teams to develop and build solutions for users/departments based on clinical requirements throughout the system. Facilitates caregiver engagement, ensuring meaningful and efficient use of the EHR across disciplines and departments. Drives system adoption, workflow improvements, and continuous optimization. This is primarily an onsite position with flexibility to work remotely when appropriate, as determined by department needs.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum: Associate degree or equivalent (preferably in healthcare-related field, Informatics, Information Technology, or Engineering).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferably in healthcare-related field, Informatics, Information Technology, or Engineering).
  • Specialty certification in healthcare information technology or an EHR-specific certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems [CPHIMS], Certified associate in healthcare information & management systems [CAHIMS], Board Certified in Nursing Informatics, or equivalent), to ensure demonstrated proficiency in managing healthcare information systems and advancing patient care through technology.

Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare business processes and Electronic Health Record (EHR) utilization, supporting clinical and operational workflows.
  • At least 3 years’ background in system implementation, maintenance, support, and data analysis, including hands-on involvement in deploying and optimizing clinical information systems.
  • Advanced documentation and training skills within the healthcare field, such as developing user guides and leading instructional sessions for new staff members.
  • Proven analysis and problem-solving skills, exemplified by resolving complex system issues under tight deadlines in fast-paced clinical environments.
  • Highly skilled in multi-tasking, managing concurrent projects, and adapting to shifting priorities to meet departmental needs.
  • Flexibility to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, acting as primary liaison with vendors, contractors, and project sponsors to address concerns and deliver solutions.
  • Strong project and program management expertise, including planning, execution, and support of large-scale healthcare IT initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, used to effectively present recommendations and complex information to administrative leadership.
  • Proficient with remote work technologies—such as video conferencing, collaboration platforms, and remote access tools—to maintain productivity and clear communication in hybrid or off-site settings.
