Job description

Description: 
The Laborer reports directly to the Laborer Foreman and supports oilfield operations through labor-intensive activities to include, but not limited to; digging trenches, general groundwork around drill sites and process facilities, assisting various discipline journeyman with job tasks (scaffold, architectural, insulation, iron worker, etc.) job site maintenance and installation of mechanical apparatus. The incumbent will operate both hand and power tools as needed. Job tasks vary daily.  
   
Schedule: 4 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF  
  • 7 days per week 11.5 hours per day 
  • 80.5 hours per week 
  • Housing, meals and transportation company provided while on the North Slope 
Work Location: North Slope, Alaska

Required Minimum Qualifications:   
  • High School Diploma, or Equivalent 
  • Current and valid Driver’s License 
  • One (1) year experience working in oilfield as a Laborer or other field position, preferred  
Required Training & Certificates:   
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Training required 
Post Job Offer Requirements:   
  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.  
  • Take and Pass a Fit-for Duty Examination. 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:    
  • Basic knowledge and proficiency of hand and power tools used in an industrial oilfield setting 
  • Basic knowledge of civil, structural, pipefitting and/or other labor crafts 
  • Knowledge and experience in oilfield operations, preferred 
  • Ability to use time efficiently to complete projects/assignments on time 
  • Ability to work minimum 11.5-hour shift daily 
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly in a team environment 
  • Skilled in maintaining positive attitude in challenging situations
