Job description

Our healthcare real estate portfolio is expanding, both domestically and internationally. We are therefore looking for a Project Manager Healthcare Real Estate with a strong construction background, who will help shape projects from initial analysis through to delivery, contributing to sustainable care environments where people truly feel at home. Are you our new colleague?

Type: Full-time About Care Property Invest

We are a Public Regulated Real Estate Company (public RREC) listed on Euronext Brussels for over 30 years, with a market capitalisation of over €500 million. We specialise in high-quality care real estate for seniors and people with disabilities across Europe. Our activities include the acquisition, development, construction and renovation of care real estate such as residential care centres, assisted living facilities and residential complexes for people with disabilities. These projects are designed to meet the evolving needs and expectations of (future) residents and are made available to solid and experienced care operators through long-term leases or long lease agreements.

Our international portfolio currently comprises more than 160 care real estate projects, spread across Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Ireland. You will be joining a stable and experienced organisation that places strong emphasis on employee well-being and personal development. Our multidisciplinary team of around 30 professionals brings together a wide range of expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the real estate portfolio and for driving sustainability initiatives across the organisation.

What your role involves

Are you a construction expert with a passion for sustainable projects and social impact? At Care Property Invest, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in the development, acquisition and technical management of our healthcare real estate projects, both in Belgium and abroad.

You will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of our healthcare real estate projects — from initial analysis through to ongoing technical management. In this role, you will:

  • Provide technical support during contract negotiations and real estate investments, fully aligned with the strategy of Care Property Invest
  • Carry out technical due diligence reporting in preparation for the acquisition of healthcare real estate assets
  • Oversee the technical follow-up of projects under development, including close monitoring of construction sites
  • Ensure rigorous follow-up of any post-closing items following the completion of a real estate investment
  • Stay up to date with technical innovations, such as energy-efficient HVAC systems, and actively contribute to the sustainability of our portfolio
  • Conduct periodic technical inspections of buildings
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tenants regarding technical matters
What skillset and experience we expect from you
  • Degree in architecture, industrial engineering (construction) or a bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field
  • At least 5 years of experience covering structural works through to final finishing; experience in the healthcare sector is considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques and relevant regulations
  • Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, technical installations and renewable energy
  • A pragmatic, hands‑on and results-driven mindset
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch, French and English; knowledge of Spanish is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with stakeholders
What you can expect from us
  • A full-time position
  • A challenging and dynamic working environment with a strong focus on quality and innovation, located just outside Schoten (Belgium)
  • A close-knit team of experienced professionals
  • A competitive salary package, complemented by attractive fringe benefits
  • Extensive opportunities for personal and professional development, including training and continuous learning
