Insulation / Scaffold Journeyman

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Installing removing and maintaining various types of industrial insulation (hot, cold, acoustic, and fireproofing).
  • Erecting, modifying, inspecting, and dismantling scaffolding systems in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work specifications.
  • Ensuring proper material handling, measurements, and installation techniques.
  • Inspecting scaffolding and insulation work for compliance and safety.
  • Identifying job hazards and actively participate in safety meetings and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
  • Working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
  • Coordinating with supervisors, engineers, and other trades as needed.
  • Mentoring apprentices or less experienced crew members when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Insulation and/or Scaffolding Journeyman
  • Strong knowledge of industrial insulation materials and scaffolding systems
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and site safety requirements
  • Ability to pass site-specific safety training and certifications
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Certifications (or ability to obtain)

  • Journeyman certification (Insulation and/or Scaffolding)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Scaffold User / Builder certification
  • TWIC card (if applicable)
  • Confined Space and Fall Protection training

Work Environment

  • Industrial and commercial job sites
  • Exposure to dust, heat, cold, and elevated work areas
  • Use of PPE required at all times

Hourly Rate: $25.00-$35.00 per hour DOE.
