Job description

The Agora Companies service 10+ affiliated publishing groups all around the world. These publishing groups focus on developing information and products that help individuals take control of their financial, health, and lifestyle decisions.

We believe strongly in investing in our people and creating opportunities for growth. Every team member plays a critical role in our success, and we are committed to helping employees develop both personally and professionally.

About the Role

The Agora Companies are seeking an experienced Senior Paid Media Manager to join the company. This individual will own customer acquisition efforts across key paid media channels, driving strategy, execution, optimization, and growth.

This role is ideal for a performance marketer who combines strong analytical skills with creative thinking and has a proven track record of scaling campaigns profitably. The successful candidate will manage significant advertising budgets, identify new growth opportunities, and collaborate closely with copywriters, marketers, and leadership to achieve acquisition goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the paid media acquisition strategy across channels, including budget allocation, channel mix, KPI targets, and forecasting
  • Plan, launch, manage, and optimize campaigns in-platform across Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, Native Advertising, and other emerging platforms, including audience targeting and bid and budget management
  • Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven decisions to improve paid media efficiency and overall marketing ROI
  • Analyze acquisition funnels, audience behavior, and conversion performance to identify and act on growth opportunities
  • Lead the testing roadmap across audiences, creative, landing pages, offers, pricing, and channels
  • Own the ad creative pipeline end-to-end. Translate copy team promos into a weekly creative roadmap, brief and indirectly manage copywriters and junior creative support, and roll up sleeves to build ad creative directly when needed.
  • Build and manage relationships with platform representatives, media partners, and vendors, and research emerging platforms, technologies, and advertising trends to bring forward new acquisition opportunities
  • Build and own clear, decision-ready reporting on the metrics that matter. Proactively surface trends, risks, and growth opportunities to leadership with a recommended course of action
  • Own the integrity of campaign tracking and attribution (pixels, conversion APIs, tag management), partnering with technical teams to keep performance data clean and trustworthy
  • Potential to directly manage junior media buying or creative support staff as the team scales
  • Build AI into the day-to-day workflow to accelerate creative output, generate and test copy variations, sharpen audience research, and speed up analysis

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of paid media buying and digital acquisition experience
  • Proven success managing and scaling paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, Native Advertising, and other performance marketing channels
  • Strong understanding of direct response marketing and customer acquisition strategies
  • Experience managing six-figure to seven-figure annual advertising budgets
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
  • Experience with campaign tracking, attribution, conversion optimization, and reporting tools
  • Strong understanding of audience targeting, segmentation, and testing methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience in financial publishing, subscription marketing, or information marketing is a plus

Compensation

  • Base Salary: Approximately $100,000 annually
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
