Job Description

Job Title: Database Administrator III

Location: Reston, VA

Duration: 7 months+

Need Full GC and USC

Need Locals

Responsibilities:

Database engineering assessments

Database buildouts

DBMS certifications

Performance tuning

Script writing

Performing backups/recovery, database monitoring

SQL writing

Providing 24 x 7 on call production support

Providing developers with database administration support during development lifecycle

Required:

DB2 UDB EEE / DPF 10.5, 10.1, 9.7 (10+ years of experience)

Performance Tuning

Shell Scripting

Preferred:

Aix to Linux Migration Experience a plus

Datastage Experience will be a plus

PROJECT REQUIREMENT:

DBMS certifications, Script-writing, performing backups/recovery, database monitoring, SQL and performance tuning at all levels, on call production support (24x7), database and object design.
