Note: This is a Hybrid position. Candidate will work in the office 1 Day / Wk. Candidate will need to be local.
4-year College degree or equivalent technical study
SUMMARY: The IBM Technical Specialist - Middleware under the direct supervisor of the Chief of the AOC's Information Technology Office (ITO) or other designated ITO representative will be required to collaborate and provide technical expertise to ITO and assigned unit. The ideal candidate must have experience in migrating and or upgrading to a newer version of WebSphere. The ideal candidate should have experience in planning, design and assessment of new & existing middleware infrastructures.
Qualifications and Skills
• They must have experience in the migration of customer or vendor applications running on WebSphere from one major version to another.
• They should be able to demonstrate expertise with the most recent and relevant technologies in the middleware arena.
• They must have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to collaborate with internal and external groups including vendors.

The ideal candidate can
• Demonstrate expertise in teaching, conveying technical and or functional courses and concepts.
• Develop appropriate work programs and budgets and use to effectively schedule tasks and assignments.
• Identify improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services and products.
• Assessment and recommendations of on-site middleware infrastructure.
Responsibilities
• Installation, configuration and administration of WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP server versions 8.5 and above.
• Configuration and administration of PEGA BPM v 7.x and above.
• Migration of WebSphere Application Server environments from one major release to another.
• Administration and configuration of WebSphere MQSeries 8.0 or higher
• Administration of AIX and RHEL servers
• Develop Jython/JACL, wsadmin, Unix/Linux shell scripts
Develop/execute/analyze AWS Cloud Formation scripts
• Experience with configuring performance management tools such as Broadcom/CA APM for analyzing and troubleshooting servers and applications
• Implement SSL/TLS configurations. Experience with certificate management.
• Understanding of network security, firewalls, ADCs, VIPs, etc. Experience integrating with Microsoft AD/ADLDS and IBM ISAM/Webseal.
• Administration, configuration of IBM DataPower Gateway (preferred).
• Installation, configuration and administration of IBM MDM and IBM Information Server (preferred); of WebFocus Reporting Server (preferred)
• Experience working in a DevOps environment (preferred) and a cloud computing environment (preferred).
