Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CE Industrial Controls Systems Engineer Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team of highly qualified engineers to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions, while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Utilize telemetry analytics to drive informed decision-making, proactively identifying and addressing issues to optimize system availability and performance.
- Maintaining Industrial Control Systems (ICS-BAS/EPMS) availability, data quality, service and change management, reporting, and the security of all ICS systems in the Data Centers.
- Site level ICS program and project management, and both govern and directly participate in the execution of global initiatives related to ICS systems.
- Managing, servicing, and governing Microsoft's electrical and mechanical industrial control systems (ICS) to include servers, applications, networks, and device infrastructure deployed within Microsoft's 24x7x365 mission-critical datacenters.
- Governing logical and physical access, approval, and permissions related to all ICS systems, networks, workstations, and servers that provide datacenter monitoring and controls.
- Empowering a culture of safety and security in global datacenter operations by complying with CO+I's safety programs and policies and completing compliance knowledge assessments.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, systems engineering, or industrial controls
- OR equivalent experience.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building and leading an Industrial Controls Engineering team for Data Center Infrastructure.
- 3+ years people management experience, particularly managing a global Industrial Controls System teams.
- 3+ years experience managing cross-functional, cross-organizational team projects
