Role Overview:

Our Exclusive Client is an AI Datacenter and cloud services company, providing datacenter services and operating a large fleet of high‑performance GPU infrastructure designed for AI/ML training, inference, and generative AI workloads. We are seeking a Business Development Lead – AI Infrastructure to drive growth by sourcing, structuring, and closing AI infrastructure opportunities.

This leader will work closely with AI startups, system integrators (SIs), cloud/ISV partners, and enterprise customers to build long‑term alliances and translate AI demand into sustained GPU and datacenter utilization.

The role combines strategic ecosystem building with hands‑on deal execution in a fast‑growing AI infrastructure market.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AI Infrastructure Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and close opportunities for GPU compute, AI clusters, managed AI platforms, and AI datacenter services
  • Drive adoption of GPU capacity for:
  • GenAI model training and fine‑tuning
  • Inference platforms
  • AI SaaS and AI-native startups
  • Enterprise AI transformation programs
  • Own the full sales lifecycle: opportunity sourcing → solution shaping → commercial negotiation → closure

2. Startup & AI Ecosystem Engagement

  • Build deep relationships with AI/ML startups, scale‑ups, and founders
  • Position the Client as a preferred AI infrastructure partner for startups graduating from cloud to dedicated GPU infrastructure
  • Design startup‑friendly offerings (credits, ramp‑up models, co‑marketing, GTM partnerships)

3. SI & Partner Alliances

  • Forge strategic partnerships with:
  • Global and regional System Integrators (SIs)
  • AI solution providers and MLOps vendors
  • ISVs building AI platforms and applications
  • Enable partners with reference architectures, pricing constructs, and joint GTM motions
  • Support co‑selling and partner‑led pipeline creation

4. Enterprise & GCC Opportunities

  • Work with enterprises, GCCs, and digital transformation leaders to source:
  • AI factory deployments
  • Private / sovereign AI infrastructure
  • Hybrid AI cloud + datacenter models
  • Collaborate with internal solution architecture and delivery teams to build compelling proposals

5. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Track AI infrastructure demand trends, GPU utilization patterns, and competitive landscape
  • Provide input into:
  • Capacity planning and GPU roadmap
  • Pricing and commercial models
  • New service offerings (managed AI, sovereign AI, industry‑specific stacks)

6. Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
  • Datacenter operations
  • AI platform and engineering teams
  • Finance and commercial teams
  • Ensure customer commitments align with capacity, SLAs, and margin objectives

Success Metrics (KPIs):

  • Revenue and margin from AI infrastructure deals
  • GPU capacity utilization and ramp‑up velocity
  • Qualified pipeline from startups, SIs, and partners
  • Number and quality of strategic alliances formed
  • Deal size, deal velocity, and customer retention

Required Qualifications:

  • 10–15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships in one or more of:
  • AI infrastructure
  • Cloud services
  • Datacenters
  • HPC / GPU computing
  • Proven track record of selling infrastructure‑led solutions (IaaS, GPUaaS, private cloud, AI platforms)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • AI/ML workloads and GenAI economics
  • GPU platforms (NVIDIA, AMD, etc.)
  • AI training vs inference requirements
  • Experience working with startups, SIs, and enterprise customers
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have:

  • Existing relationships with AI startups, VC ecosystem, or accelerator programs
  • Experience with sovereign cloud, regulated industries, or government AI programs
  • Exposure to MLOps platforms, AI frameworks, or AI software stacks
  • Prior role in scaling a new infrastructure or platform business

Personal Attributes:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and fast‑growth environments
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Credible advisor to CTOs, CIOs, and AI leaders
  • Excellent communication and ecosystem‑building skills
