Job description

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Manager / Director of System Verification (SVT) to lead validation strategy and execution for disruptive coherent optical DSP technology targeting data center applications. This role combines hands-on system verification with team leadership, requiring deep expertise in DSP, communications, and optical systems.
You will own end-to-end system validation, drive cross-functional execution, and work directly with hyperscaler customers to qualify coherent optical modules from ecosystem partners.
What you Will Do:
  • Own end-to-end system verification strategy and execution for coherent DSP products
  • Translate system requirements into DSP performance targets (equalization, timing/carrier recovery)
  • Define link budgets and align DSP performance with optical components and module partners.
  • Lead system modeling and correlation with lab measurements (e.g., RONSR, sensitivity)
  • Oversee development of golden reference transceivers for system correlation and benchmarking.
  • Drive system bring-up, debug, and optimization across DSP, optics, and analog front-end.
  • Build and lead a high-performing SVT team; define methodologies and test coverage.
  • Partner with customers and module vendors to accelerate qualification and deployment.

What you Will Bring:
  • MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optical Communications, or related field
  • 12 or more years in coherent optical or high-speed communication systems
  • Proven leadership in system validation of coherent DSP products
  • Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation (scope, DCA, AWG, BERT) and automation
  • Strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or C++)

Core Expertise
  • Digital communications and coherent DSP algorithms
  • Optical impairments and link budgeting
  • Coherent modulation (QPSK, 16QAM, higher-order QAM) and FEC (KP4, SD-FEC)
  • Fixed-point implementation and system-level performance optimization

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with 112G/224G SERDES and high-speed electrical interfaces
  • Familiarity with framer/deframer architectures (KP4/RS-FEC, datacenter interfaces)
  • Experience with coherent pluggable modules and reference platforms

Salary Range for US
$150,000 - $300,000 Base Annually
The final offer will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
