Job description

The opportunity

We're looking for a Databricks Senior Manager to join our growing US team. As a Senior Manager within the Data Engineering capability, you'll lead end-to-end delivery of Databricks-based data and ML platforms for clients across industries.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll run the day-to-day delivery of squads, work directly with client stakeholders and Databricks' own Professional Services teams, and mentor the engineers around you, without stepping away from the technical decisions yourself.

About Kubrick

Kubrick is an award-winning consultancy that helps organizations design, build and scale data and AI solutions that deliver lasting impact. Our clients span a wide range of industries, including financial services, retail, energy, healthcare, the public sector, and more.

We're a Databricks Gold Partner, the highest tier in the Databricks Partner Program and one held by a select number of organizations globally. We're also partnered with Microsoft, Snowflake, and Collibra, creating opporutnities and opening doors for consultants across the business.

What sets us apart is how we build capabilities and careers. Through continuous learning, real-world delivery, and an internal Databricks Centre of Excellence, we help our people build deep technical expertise, not just add another platform to their CV.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of Databricks-based data and ML platforms for enterprise clients.

  • Work directly with clients, internal stakeholders, and Databricks Professional Services teams.

  • Provide technical leadership across delivery squads, setting the standard for engineering excellence.

  • Translate business challenges into robust, production-grade technical solutions.

  • Mentor, line-manage, and develop engineers across the wider Databricks capability.

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and technical best practice within our Databricks Centre of Excellence.

  • Help grow Kubrick's Databricks capability across clients and industries in the US market.

Why join Kubrick

Joining one of the few Databricks Gold Partners means you will have access to a wide range of opportunities that will help you stand out and accelerate in your career.

  • Unlimited certification support: full Databricks Partner Portal access and as many exam vouchers as you need.

  • Direct access to Databricks' own engineering benchmarks, product roadmap, and support channels.

  • Access to Kubrick’s Databricks Centre of Excellence, which offers ongoing development support, networking, events, updates, and more.

  • Support all the way to Champion and even MVP - Databricks' highest individual accolade.

  • Early visibility into upcoming Databricks product and generative AI capabilities, ahead of general release.

  • A close-knit community of Databricks practitioners at every level of seniority.

What we’re looking for

We're looking for someone who has led real delivery before and who wants to keep building deep Databricks expertise rather than move away from the technology as they become more senior. You'll bring:

  • Strong experience delivering solutions on Databricks.

  • Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Advanced Python and SQL skills.

  • Experience leading technical delivery teams within enterprise environments.

  • The ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practice.

  • A mindset focused on quality, impact, and continuous improvement.

If you don't tick every box above but think you'd thrive in this role, we'd still love to hear from you.

Kubrick benefits
  • 15 PTO days plus 11 public holidays (26 days total).

  • 401(k) retirement program with company match up to 3%.

  • Healthcare insurance (80% premium employer paid).

  • Dental insurance.

  • Vision insurance.

  • Long-term disability insurance (100% employer paid).

  • Additional caregiver leave.

  • Enhanced maternity, adoption and paternity leave.

  • Financial wellbeing support.

  • Flexible working options.

  • Learning and development opportunities, including professional certifications.

  • Internal mobility and career development opportunities.

  • Mental health, diversity and inclusion support.

  • Additional voluntary benefits.

  • Access to paid-for Databricks courses and certifications through Kubrick.

  • Access to Kubrick's Databricks Centre of Excellence.

  • A clear development route to Champion and MVP level.

Diversity & inclusion

We're proudly committed to diversity and inclusion and this is reflected through our diversity partnerships and awards. We're long-standing partners of Women in Data - a not for profit dedicated to helping more women succeed in data and AI - and were recently shortlisted for their Brand Partner of the Year award, in return for our ongoing research into women's health. We have also been recognized by SheCanCode and Women in Tech for our ongoing commitments to women in tech.

In terms of applications, we encourage women and people from all underrepresented backgrounds in data and AI, including racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, and people who are neurodivergent to apply.

If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, just let us know. We're here to support you.
