Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Technical Platform Lead is a hands-on engineering leader responsible for guiding IIA's platform, integration, and data engineering initiatives while leading and developing a team of engineers. This player-coach role combines technical leadership with people management, driving the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud solutions that power the organization's digital ecosystem.

Working across Azure, Databricks, APIs, and enterprise SaaS platforms, you'll help shape the future of IIA's technology landscape while fostering engineering excellence, innovation, and AI-enabled development practices.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position based in Lake Mary, Florida, combining in-office collaboration with remote work.

What You'll Do
  • Lead a team of engineers through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and technical leadership.
  • Establish engineering standards and best practices for cloud platforms, integrations, APIs, and data engineering.
  • Design and deliver scalable solutions using Azure Integration Services, Databricks, and modern cloud technologies.
  • Guide development of enterprise integrations connecting Dynamics 365 and other SaaS platforms.
  • Build and enhance data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven capabilities.
  • Champion AI-assisted development, automation, DevSecOps, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.
  • Partner with architects, product managers, security, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions.
  • Contribute hands-on to architecture, code reviews, technical design, and complex engineering initiatives as a player-coach.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of software, platform, or cloud engineering experience, including 2+ years leading or managing technical teams.
  • Strong experience with Azure cloud services, API design, systems integration, and enterprise application development.
  • Experience with data engineering concepts, SQL, Databricks, Spark, or similar modern data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with C#/.NET or comparable development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and cloud engineering best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure Integration Services, Dynamics 365, Databricks, Microsoft Entra External ID, and Power BI.
  • Experience implementing AI-assisted software development practices.
  • Experience within a membership association, nonprofit, or professional services organization.
  • Microsoft Azure and Databricks certifications are a plus.
