Arrowhead Intermediaries and its divisions-Arrowhead Programs, Bridge Specialty Group, and Arrowhead Specialty are seeking a Senior Power BI Lead to join our growing team. This hybrid opportunity is ideally suited for candidates based in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, or San Diego.

Arrowhead Intermediaries (AHI), the Specialty segment of Brown & Brown, is seeking a senior Power BI leader toestablishand scale a centralized Power BI function within the AHI Data Strategy & BI team. This role will serve three independently operated divisions and willbe responsible forsetting the enterprise standard for Power BI reporting, governance, security, semantic modeling, and report lifecycle management across AHI.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Creates the foundation for a new Power BI department inside the AHI Data Strategy & BI team, including team structure, operating model, standards, intake, delivery, quality control, and support practices.

  • Sets the standard for all AHI Data Strategy Power BI reporting across Arrowhead Programs, Bridge Specialty Group, and Arrowhead Specialty, balancing divisional needs with enterprise consistency.

  • Ensurebusiness users receive correct, governed, and accessible information through certified datasets, standardized metrics, report governance, and disciplined release management.

  • Leads complex reporting scenarios involving unique row-level security requirements, different business models, varying levels of data maturity, and cross-division datasets that must be combined responsibly.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

Required:

  • 10+ years of business intelligence, analytics, data platform, or reporting experience, including 5+ years of advanced Power BI experience and 3+ years in a senior lead, architect, administrator, or BI platform ownership role.

  • Required insurance industry experience, preferably in property and casualty, specialty insurance, MGA/MGU, wholesale brokerage, retail agency, carrier, or insurance distribution environments.

  • Demonstrated experience building or maturing a BI team, reporting function, governance program, center of excellence, or enterprise analytics operating model.

  • Expert-level Power BI skills, including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, dataflows, deployment pipelines, workspace design, performance tuning, incremental refresh, composite models, report design, and tenant/capacity administration.

  • Strong understanding of Power BI governance, report certification, data cataloging, stewardship, metric standardization, security, lifecycle management, production support, and adoption practices.

  • Proven ability to design and implement complex row-level security models and access-control patterns across multiple business units, hierarchies, and user groups.

  • Advanced SQL and data modeling experience, including dimensional modeling, star and snowflake schemas, relational databases, data warehouses,lakehousepatterns, curated datasets, and semantic layers.

  • Experience combining data across multiple divisions, platforms, source systems, and maturity levels, with the judgment toidentifylimitations, document assumptions, and avoid misleading insights.

  • Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate executive and operational needs into clear data products, technical specifications, and governance practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence leaders to adopt standards.

  • Strong designsensibility for executive reporting, including visualization best practices, accessibility, user experience, branding, storytelling, layout, filters, slicers, navigation, and actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead highly visible initiatives whileremaininghands-on in architecture, development, troubleshooting, and quality review.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, SQL Server, Analysis Services, Purview, or related Microsoft data platform capabilities.

  • Experience with Tableau or other BI tools, especially where tool rationalization or standardizationwasrequired.

  • Experience in data governance, master data management, data quality, metadata management, data lineage, stewardship, or enterprise data strategy.

  • Power BI, Fabric, Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or related Microsoft certifications.

  • Experience with Python, R, APIs, automation, DevOps, Git, or advanced analytics workflows.

Pay Range

170,000.00 - 180,000.00 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
