Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of heat exchanger-related projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable standards. This role involves managing large-scale industrial projects, often in high-stakes environments such in technology and energy sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Accountable for developing and coordinating carefully designed and approved action plans to successfully complete projects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all aspects of the Operations activities, including Engineering, Sales and Customer; ensure all parties maintain close communication and coordination regarding project status and milestones; maintain project schedules and report status in weekly Program Reviews.
  • Work with Supply Chain to ensure that all long lead items are identified and ordered in a timely manner in support of the project schedules.
  • Responsible for overseeing project budgets and coordination with project cost controller.
  • Document and communicate project status, obstacles and resolutions to management.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve optimal project execution.
  • All other duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • Experience at developing and facilitating business processes to achieve project goals
  • Basic understanding of air coolers and manufacturing supply chains are a plus; accreditation from recognized project management organizations such as PMI a plus.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and optimistic attitude; team orientation with good leadership skills โ€“ empathy and motivating cross-functional team members to common goal; display persistence, vision and positive attitude.
  • Good organizational skills and capable of independent work. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and appropriately determine priorities; able to work effectively with all levels of management.
  • Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work onโ€“site
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
  • Personal computer skills include electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Project management skills for leading and organizing projects, providing progress tracking reports as directed, and leading cross-functional teams at a high level.
  • PMPยฎ Certification (preferred)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

  • BA or BS degree in a technical field or business administration.
  • Five-eight yearsโ€™ project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
