Job Description

Candidate Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position are to develop cost models to support IPSD's cost reduction efforts. This position will work with Engineering and Global Purchasing to calculate part number price and compare to purchase order price. 


Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * Develop cost models * Contribute and enable new products or processes * Develop and manage the project to the plan * Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas * Evaluate new products and/or processes * Keep up to date on new technologies or develop new technologies Required Qualifications: * Four year Engineering/Computer Science degree or with equivalent experience * Excellent analytical skills * Ability to communicate technical information effectively * Excel, Power point Preferred Qualifications: * Database (SQL, Access) and programming skills * Knowledge of manufacturing processes


Typical Day: Work with team members from several teams such as engineering, purchasing and manufacturing to develop cost models. Typical day would be working on the computer to run the cost models and have 1 or two meetings to have discussion with the requester of the cost model. Work with manufacturing individuals and purchasing to gather information. 


Qualifications

Technical Skills: Excel, Powerpoint required SQL, ACCESS and Programming skills highly desired. 

Soft Skills: Team player who works with diverse teams to gather and present information.
