Description:

Job Summary:

Itential is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join our Professional Services organization. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of customer-facing implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the engagement, coordinating internal resources, managing risks, and driving accountability across cross-functional teams. This is a billable, customer-facing role that requires strong project management fundamentals and the ability to build trusted relationships with enterprise clients.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, quality, and budget.
  • Execute projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate to the engagement.
  • Forecast revenue, manage margins, and maintain overall project financial health.
  • Define success criteria and objectives with stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Secure and allocate resources; build and maintain detailed project plans.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and cost changes; track and report project performance.
  • Lead customer-facing status meetings and produce status reports.
  • Manage client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate project risks and dependencies.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Collaborate with PM peers to improve efficiency on processes.
  • Build customer relationships to support future sales opportunities.
  • Create and present project dashboards to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve in a customer-facing, billable capacity.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience (5+ years relevant work).
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Enterprise software delivery experience, including familiarity deploying enterprise software in both SaaS and on-premises environments, including hybrid architectures where cloud-hosted product components integrate with customer-managed infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of common implementation dependencies: databases, application gateways, site-to-site VPN tunnels, SSO/identity providers, and secrets management.
  • Able to hold credible conversations with customer infrastructure, security, and network teams to ensure project success.
  • Recognizes when a customer-side blocker (firewall rules, certificate issues, server readiness, etc.) will impact the delivery timeline and escalates before it does.
  • Excellent written, verbal, client-facing, and internal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification (preferred).
  • Experience with change-management processes for professional services projects.
  • External and internal customer-relationship management experience (preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple high-profile workstreams in parallel.
  • Experience creating or reviewing professional services SOWs (preferred).

What Success Looks Like in This Role:

  • Consistently delivers projects on time and within budget with high customer satisfaction.
  • Builds trusted relationships with enterprise clients that support retention and expansion.
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates risks before they impact delivery timelines.
  • Effectively coordinates across internal teams and customer stakeholders to maintain project momentum.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of Professional Services processes and methodologies.
