Job description

Senior Estimator – General Construction

Location: Peachtree City, Georgia Marietta, Georgia

Company: Forza Group, Inc.

About Forza

At Forza Group, we are more than builders — we are partners in creating large-scale industrial and commercial facilities that drive progress for our clients. With a reputation for precision, collaboration, and execution, we take pride in delivering complex projects that shape the future. Our ability to self-perform key trades — including engineering & design, process mechanical, structural steel, and electrical scopes — gives us a unique edge in controlling quality, safety, and schedules. While this Senior Estimator position will not be responsible for pricing self-perform work directly, you will have access to in-house expertise and benchmarking resources that strengthen the accuracy and competitiveness of our estimates.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team and lead the estimating process for large-scale general construction projects. This role will be instrumental in developing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive cost proposals that support Forza’s continued success in delivering commercial and industrial projects of varying size and complexity. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, and have a passion for shaping projects from the earliest stages, Forza Group wants to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates for large-scale, ground-up and complex renovation projects.

· Analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.

· Define and assign divisions of responsibility across Forza’s estimating team, ensuring clear accountability and effective coordination within the preconstruction group.

· Manage subcontractor and vendor outreach, solicit bids, and conduct scope reviews across all trade divisions.

· Develop conceptual budgets, schematic estimates, and final proposals aligned with client goals and project schedules.

· Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, executives, and clients to ensure scope and cost alignment.

· Leverage Forza’s internal self-perform expertise to validate market pricing and strengthen estimate accuracy.

· Maintain and expand cost databases, benchmarks, and historical records to drive estimating accuracy.

· Provide mentorship and leadership to junior estimators and support staff.

· Present estimates and recommendations to clients and leadership with clarity and professionalism.

· Prepare and review subcontractor bid comparisons, identify scope gaps and overlaps, and normalize proposals to establish complete and competitive trade coverage.

· Lead estimate turnover and handoff to project operations following award, communicating scope assumptions, subcontractor coverage, risks, opportunities, and estimate strategy.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 8+ years of progressive estimating experience with a focus on large-scale commercial or industrial general construction projects.

· Strong knowledge of construction means and methods across all major trades.

· Proficiency with estimating software (ProEst, etc.) and Microsoft 365; scheduling knowledge (Primavera) preferred.

· Demonstrated experience independently leading estimates for commercial or industrial projects in the $10M–$25M+ range; experience with projects exceeding $25M preferred.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.

· Leadership ability to guide and develop junior estimators.

· Experience with design-build, design-assist, conceptual estimating, and progressive preconstruction preferred.

Why Join Forza?

· Opportunity to lead estimates on high-profile, large-scale projects.

· Be part of a collaborative, growth-focused team that values innovation and accuracy.

· Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.

· Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

· Professional growth and leadership opportunities in a fast-growing company.
