Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager - IT to lead the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives. This role serves as the central point of coordination between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

The Technical Project Manager will manage project plans, budgets, risks, dependencies, vendor engagements, and executive reporting while driving accountability across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate activities across IT team, business teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Track project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
  • Prepare executive dashboards and status reports and facilitate governance meetings.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
  • Support organizational change management, communication, training, and user adoption activities.

Vendor Management

  • Help identify, evaluate, and select technology vendors and service providers.
  • Help define project scope, requirements, and implementation plans.
  • Lead vendor discussions, contract negotiations, and commercial reviews.
  • Coordinate implementation activities and manage vendor deliverables.
  • Track vendor performance, budgets, licensing, renewals, and contractual commitments.

Technical Knowledge

The ideal candidate is not expected to be a technical expert in every area but must be able to effectively coordinate technical teams, understand dependencies, and challenge assumptions across:

  • Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune
  • Cloud and infrastructure technologies, particularly Azure environments
  • Enterprise networking, WAN/LAN, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, and telecommunications services
  • IT operations, Service Desk, ITIL processes, asset management, and managed services
  • Enterprise applications and integrations (business systems, integrations, APIs)
  • Data migration, SQL databases, reporting, and ETL technologies
  • Vendor onboarding, software licensing, contract management, and implementation projects

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly desired
  • 5+ years of project management experience delivering technology projects is required.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent certification preferred.
