Job description

The Prospective Group (TPG) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the design, budget, implementation and data collection/visualization strategy for a global network of IoT devices at the US Department of State. Technologies leveraged for the project include environmental and utility sensors, cloud database and analytics, data visualization solutions and network security and operations. Tasks and resources are organized in an Agile Scrum framework. This is a hybrid role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Track project tasks and budgets in an Agile Scrum framework
  • Develop and present project reports to management and stakeholder groups
  • Oversee the translation of business requirements into technical requirements, epics and sprint tasks
  • Coordinate component integration, monitoring and maintenance activities
  • Work with IoT vendors and consultants to manage tasks, deliverables and component orders/installations
  • Stay in touch with industry technology updates and drive technical team innovations to improve, secure and streamline systems  

Position Requirements:

  • BS in an IT or related field or equivalent yearsโ€™ experience
  • Experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager on a large multifaceted enterprise system
  • General understanding of modern IoT technologies including Cloud, data collection/analysis/visualization, AI/ML and the use of smart sensors to gather data
  • Agile experience and/or certifications
  • A desire to work in a leading technology environment leveraging modern data and cloud services
  • Experience working on IT projects in a secured federal/DOD environment
  • Preferred additional project management certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, ITIL and CSM
  • Task management experience on projects using two or more of the following technologies: Azure database or data lake services; data analytics such as Databricks, HDInsights, Spark or Kafka; Data visualization such as Tableau or R; Environmental or utility sensors such as Niagara, EcoRate, BuildingLogix or EnergyLogix; network and VPN components such as firewalls and encryptors
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in a geo-dispersed team dynamic
  • Strong MS Office, Visio and presentation skills
