Join the team at J.W. Jung Seed Company , an industry leader in mail-order and retail gardening. With six garden centers across Wisconsin, Jung Seed Company ships thousands of quality seeds, plants, and accessories to all 50 states.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Garden Center Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Madison, WI Store. This is a great opportunity to lead a dedicated team, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the growth of a thriving retail garden center.


What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the garden center
  • Hire, coach and train team members to deliver excellent customer service
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and product displays
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized and visually appealing environment - both indoors and outdoors
  • Providing excellent customer service throughout the entire buying experience

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Experience with POS systems, inventory control, purchasing, and database management
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Knowledge of horticulture, plant care, seasonal sales cycles, and garden center products preferred
