Verdantas is seeking a talented Staff Geologist II to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas.
What You'll Do:
- Perform field tasks, including data collection, measurements, and excavation observation
- Prepares field notes and related documentation in accordance with company standards
- Operation and maintenance of remediation system
- Maintains Excel databases associated with regulatory compliance
- Assists with preparing regulatory submittals, such as permit applications and plans
- Oversees well installations and soil borings
- Collects groundwater, soil, sediment, air, and surface water samples
- Retrieves necessary data using online databases, off-line records, or other means
- Enters collected data into report format using applicable software and company formatting guidelines
- Applies basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs
- Assist with on-call emergency projects on occasion
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting
- Proficient with MS Office suite of products
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus
- Previous consulting experience is a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites
Salary Range:
The starting salary for this position is $63,000.00 with final compensation determined based on qualifications and licensing status.
