Job Summary:
BigBear.ai is a leading provider of AI-powered decision intelligence solutions for national security and digital identity. They are seeking a Database Engineer to support the development and operation of advanced capabilities leveraging RF signal processing and geospatial analytics, focusing on database design, development, and optimization.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design & Develop Databases: Support database design, development, implementation, information storage, and retrieval activities.
โ€ข Analyze & Optimize Systems: Assist with the analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts.
โ€ข Define Requirements: Develop long- and short-term requirements for database administration and design.
โ€ข Create Usable Solutions: Translate requirements and data into usable database schemas by creating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros; update existing queries and create new ones to manipulate data into master files.
โ€ข Build Complex Systems: Develop database parser software, database loading software, and database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university. (Five years of additional DBE experience may be substituted for a Bachelorโ€™s degree.)
โ€ข Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (required).
โ€ข Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, and Redis.
โ€ข Proficiency in SQL and associated tools (e.g., SQL Developer).
โ€ข Ability to support the development of long- and short-term requirements for database administration and design.
Preferred:
โ€ข Familiarity with Elasticsearch and its integration into database systems.
