Your Mission

As a Senior Database Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of complex database systems that drive mission success. You'll oversee the architecture, implementation, and performance of data solutions-ensuring security, efficiency, and scalability across the enterprise.
You Will Excel In This Role If You Are:
  • A strategic thinker who can translate business needs into advanced data solutions
  • Skilled in both relational and object-oriented database design
  • Confident leading database development efforts across multiple environments
  • Experienced in balancing performance, scalability, and security in large-scale systems
A Day In The Life Consists Of:
  • Leading database design, development, and implementation across multiple projects
  • Directing the creation of database parser and loading software
  • Designing and optimizing complex database structures that align with system architecture
  • Managing data flow, storage, retrieval, and analysis to support mission-critical operations
  • Directing the translation of requirements into database schemas using scripts, queries, and macros
  • Overseeing the development of cloud-based database systems using Open Database Connectivity
  • Guiding performance tuning, version control, and configuration management best practices
  • Evaluating and directing improvements to database processes, storage efficiency, and reliability
Must Haves:
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Five (5) additional years of DBE experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree
Nice To Haves:
  • Advanced experience with cloud-based and distributed database environments
  • Strong understanding of database performance optimization and data governance
  • Experience with version control, configuration management, and CI/CD integration
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers in database best practices
