Automation Engineer
Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin (On-site)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
A QA Automation Engineer is needed to support test automation initiatives. This onshore role is key to introducing new Playwright and Gen AI test automation capabilities. The Automation Engineer will partner with the test automation lead architect to provide leadership and support to the existing hybrid Java/Selenium based test environment, while also spending a significant portion of their day helping to build out a new testing environment in Playwright.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop programs that conduct automatic tests on new and existing software.
  • Develop programs and write automation scripts using established guidelines.
  • Design, program, simulate, and test automated machinery and processes.
  • Research and identify issues in software through testing.
  • Collaborate with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with Gen AI test automation tools, preferably Playwright MCP.
  • Proficiency in UI Automation, including frameworks and hands-on script creation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Java and Selenium.
  • Experience with API manual and automation testing.
  • Understanding of database basics.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Developed soft skills for effective team collaboration and communication.
  • Hands-on development experience.
