Job description

Purpose and Scope
The Food Management System Specialist provides basic technical, administrative and operational support for the Food Management System, a critical operational application that supports daily meal service operations, menu planning and production records, inventory tracking and reporting, and standard compliance reporting for Nutrition Services.
Essential Job Functions
  1. Supports application software and related configurations, coordinates with IT staff for hardware, network, and telecommunications issues.
  2. Troubleshoots level one network and basic hardware issues. Provides additional support to field
  3. Assists with application-related projects, including user testing, documentation, and coordination of implementation activities
  4. Provides remote and on-site software analysis support and training in administrative and cafeteria settings
  5. Conducts baseline troubleshooting for application functionality and user issues; escalates infrastructure issues to appropriate IT teams and troubleshoots network, hardware, software, and peripherals
  6. Assists with application updates, patches, and version upgrades following established
  7. Communicates and Partners with application and hardware vendors for issue resolution, ticket tracking, and support communication
  8. Supports Nutrition Services staff by maintaining application data recovery requests, including database-level analysis, user permission validation, and data integrity checks.
  9. Provides feedback and recommendations to improve application support processes and user workflows.
  10. Serves as liaison between end-users, application vendors, and IT support teams for application-related issues
  11. Ensures timely resolution of application support requests; documents issues, resolutions, and support activities
  12. Assists in maintaining application access records and user documentation; may coordinate with IT on asset-related issues
  13. Perform duties in accordance with application support procedures, security guidelines, and district
  14. Performs data entry, prepares reports, and conducts customer service activities related to application support
  15. Attends application and technical training, system updates, and support-related meetings
  16. Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or other related field Plus an additional two (2) years of related experience, for a total education/experience of six (6) years. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor's Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master's Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where master's degrees are required, years for bachelor's Degrees must be included.

The salary range for this position is $47,611.20 to $68,473.60 annually.
