Job description

We are seeking a Database Analyst who is a strategic problem solver with a passion for CRM technology, business intelligence, data analytics, and process improvement. This role will support our fundraising technology ecosystem by transforming complex data into actionable insights, building solutions that enhance donor engagement, and ensuring our teams have the information they need to advance our mission.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a customer-focused mindset, and experience supporting CRM platforms within a nonprofit fundraising environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in database management, data analytics, CRM administration, or a related field
  • Experience supporting a CRM platform within a nonprofit fundraising organization preferred
  • Experience with Blackbaud products, particularly Blackbaud CRM, preferred
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, including Power BI, preferred
  • Data modeling experience preferred 
  • Experience with Blackbaud CRM SDK preferred
  • Knowledge of Zuri Velocity or similar integration tools strongly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, relational databases, SQL querying, and data extraction tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service in a technical environment
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable information for diverse audiences
     

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, validate, and deliver accurate reporting solutions, data lists, applications, and system enhancements in a collaborative team environment
  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between Blackbaud CRM and third-party data systems using tools such as Zuri Velocity
  • Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions to support enterprise reporting and analytics needs
  • Develop and maintain Blackbaud CRM reports and customizations using SQL Server tools, SSRS, Report Builder, Visual Studio, and Blackbaud SDK
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, document requirements, and translate complex processes into scalable technical solutions
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, business standards, workflows, and system processes
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, efficiency, and reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure CRM solutions align with organizational goals and fundraising strategies
